What Macy's Announced for the Holidays

In its September 24 hiring announcement, Macy's, Inc. said it is filling seasonal part-time jobs at its Macy's, Bloomingdale's and Bluemercury stores, plus full- and part-time roles at select distribution sites. It set three national hiring days at all of its stores. The first ran September 24. The other two land on Thursday, October 22, and Thursday, November 19.

Here is the honest part. Fresno is not on the company's list of top hiring markets, which leans on big metros like Los Angeles, Phoenix and Seattle, and the two distribution sites it named are in West Virginia and Ohio. The company also has not published a headcount for Fresno or a national total, and we won't guess one. What you can count on: both Fresno stores take part in the hiring day.

Both stores stay open, too. Macy's 2026 closure list reached two California stores, in La Mesa and Tracy, and neither Fresno location was on it.

Macy's says every posting shows its pay range, so you see the number before you apply. Check the listing for the exact store and role, since ranges differ by job.
